I discovered that I had indexed my crank incorrectly
while I was degreeing the cam.  I had aligned both
spockets as shown in the image above.
 


I was getting some disturbing numbers when I degreed the
cam.  The only solution was to take the timing chain cover off
and see what was going on.  As it turns out, I had indexed the
cam gear and crank gear incorrectly.  If you look real close in the
image above, you'll see a small black dot right over the red line
as shown.  That is the correct alignment dot to the cam gear.
